New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to nine of Somerset’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Cafe @ The Activity Warehouse at Unit 5, East Quay, Bridgwater; rated on March 7

• Rated 5: KFC at Wirral Park Road, Glastonbury; rated on March 1

• Rated 5: Lattetude Coffee Co at Kings Fitness & Leisure, Station Road, Cheddar; rated on February 1

• Rated 5: ReCreation Community Hub at Rhode Lane, Bridgwater; rated on January 31

• Rated 5: BOS Cafe at 34 High Street, Bridgwater; rated on January 29

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And three ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:

• Rated 5: The Compass Tavern at Bridgwater Road, North Petherton; rated on March 12

• Rated 5: Old Down Inn at Emborough, Radstock; rated on March 8

• Rated 4: The Albion Inn at 14 Bath Road, Ashcott Bridgwater; rated on January 31
