WIVLEISCOMBE managed to secure a vital bonus point after scoring four tries in this Western Counties West match on the Wivey Rec but still dropped one place after losing 29-20 to Penryn, writes Roger Bellamy.
Winger Sam Habberfield opened the scoring for Wivey and the hosts increased their lead when Toby Tisshaw showed pace to score.
Centre James Salisbury opened the visitors' account, kicking a penalty after Wivey failed to release in the tackle.
Penryn closed the gap with a try from left wing Tripconey.
Salisbury added his second penalty soon after.
Scrum half Richard Baker scored a fine individual try to put the hosts in the lead.
Salisbury scored the visitors' second try to retake the lead but Wivey's third try came from Paddy Holiday just before half time.
Wiveliscombe did well to limit the visitors to just one try in the second half - scored by Salisbury which he converted.
Salisbury completed the scoring in the game, adding another two penalties.
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV lost 48-19 at Chard 2nd XV in Somerset Three South league match after struggling to raise a team.
