The antiques vintage and collectables fair at the Dunster Tithe Barn is under new management.

Vincent Page, 58, and Lesley Page, 60, have taken charge of the monthly event. The Bournemouth pair took over Taunton Antiques Market last year, before changing its name to Antiques on High.

The Taunton premises is the latest addition to the Antiques on High collection of stores, which are located in Sidmouth, Bowness, Oxford and now Taunton.

The Taunton store is said to be doing well, and has already hosted Antiques Roadshow star and friend of Vincent’s David Harper, who uploaded a video of his visit to YouTube in December last year.

After taking the Silver Street antiques spot from being open one day a week to four days a week, with ambitions to increase that to seven, the new owners have now expanded into West Somerset by taking over the Dunster vintage antiques and collectables fair.

Vincent added: “They run events in this barn, they run weddings and so on. We were told about it, contacted them and told them we were interested. We had a meeting and agreed everything.”

The first event will take place on March 12, with Vincent and Lesley set to make the trek from Bournemouth to attend personally.

Vincent described the venue as “a lovely original old barn that has been decorated and refurbished.”

He promised the fair would host “A massive variety of tables and stalls, 30, maybe 35, all selling different things. A very credible event, run in Dunster at a lovely location.”

There will be refreshments on offer, “teas, coffees, and everything you’d expect” but no food yet – though Vincent and Lesley are looking into it.
