CHILDREN from Dunster First School celebrated this year’s Harvest with parents, carers and the local community at St George's Parish Church last week.
The children sang songs and hymns together and each class had their own Harvest song or poem to perform.
The church was full for the celebration and each child brought in a gift which was donated to the Hope Centre in Minehead, which supports homeless people, the lonely and vulnerable members of our community. They were delighted with the gifts from the children.
Head of school, Paul James, said: “The Harvest Service is always a lovely event.
“The children performed their songs and poems incredibly well. What gave the service extra impetus was the fact not only was that it was a celebration of Harvest, but also that the children knew they were helping the vulnerable in our local community.”
