SOMERSET Council has given notice that it intends to dispose to Minehead Town Council all the open/green spaces in the town and any representations on the matter should be sent in writing to reach County Hall, Taunton, by 5 pm on February 21.

PART of public bridleway DU5/2 in Exmoor parish is to be closed by Exmoor National Park Authority for six months from January 28 due to a collapsed bridge.

EXTENSIONS to 30 mph and 40 mph speed limits on various roads in Minehead and Minehead Without parishes have been agreed by Somerset Council effective from February 7 unless challenged in the High Court within six weeks.

RESURFACING work by Heidelberg on behalf of Somerset Highways will mean the closure of Chitcombe Rocks Lane, Huish Champflower, between 7.30 am and 6 pm daily from February 24 to 28.

POLE testing work by Openreach will cause the closure of Armoor Lane, Exton, from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm on February 14.
