AN award-winning film set in 1980s Tuscany, La Chimera (Cert 15), starring Josh O’Connor, will be screened at the Minehead Regal Theatre on Tuesday, June 25, at 7.30pm.
O’Connor gives his best performance yet as Arthur, a British archaeologist who gets involved in an international network of dealers in stolen Etruscan artifacts.
Everyone has their own chimera, something they try to achieve but never manage to find. For the band of tombaroli, thieves of ancient grave goods and archaeological wonders, the chimera means redemption from work and the dream of easy wealth.
Tickets for the subtitled film cost £5 (Friends of the Regal £4.50; Regal Film Society members, Students/ES40s £3) and may be booked in advance online and at the Regal box office 01643 706430.
