A play area on Exmoor has been renovated, creating a vibrant new play space for families to enjoy this summer.

The new Lorna Doone area boasts climbing structures, tunnels, balance beams, and a play centre featuring activities like a wall ball maze and skittles, offering endless entertainment for families.

Additionally, visitors can take advantage of a dedicated forest school space, with free ranger-led sessions scheduled for August 12 and 26. These sessions provide children with a fun opportunity to build outdoor skills and confidence while exploring nature.

Maia Rhoads, a North Devon Ranger, said: “It is great to see this once unused piece of land transformed into a bright and beautiful area for all to use. Working alongside an amazing team of staff and volunteers we are all so glad to see the hard work pay off and be able to open it for the public.”

“We hope that visitors and members of the community love this area as much as we do and get loads of enjoyment out of it, creating lasting memories and igniting a love of the area for those that haven’t visited before.”
