MINEHEAD’S Ukrainian grocery store, Chumatsky Way, is set to host an event for locals to unite and honour the memory of those fighting an ongoing battle in Ukraine.
February 24 marked the third anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine, a day that the owners of the Somerset shop say “changed our lives forever.”
Together with West Somerset Welcome Hub, the team at Chumatsky Way is organising a gathering of the local community today (Tuesday, February 25) offering the chance to try Ukrainian borscht, cupcakes and watch a Ukrainian war film.
The film will be screened in two sessions, first at 12.30pm and later at 5pm.
Guests are invited to Chumatsky Way from midday.
