EXMOOR Character Cottages has won its second consecutive VisitEngland Rose Award.

The luxury holiday rental company, based in Vicarage Road, in Minehead, was one of 100 Rose Award winners and were presented with the gong at a lunchtime ceremony in Newbury on Wednesday, September 11.

The Rose Awards recognise those accommodation providers across England who give visitors the best customer experience.

The awards celebrate establishments, irrespective of their star rating, style, or type of accommodation, where the owners and team provide outstanding experiences for customers.

The award winners are nominated by VisitEngland’s independent assessors and are selected based on feedback of overseas and domestic visitors.

Since 2009, the four gold-rated luxury self-catering holiday cottages run by the company have welcomed thousands of guests to Minehead and Dunster.

Business owner Lucy Green said: “I am extremely proud that this small business has won its second consecutive Rose Award.

“These awards are the Oscars of our sector and to have two is an enormous achievement. They reflect the hard work, dedication, and commitment of everyone who is involved in this Exmoor business – a great team and our trusted local suppliers.

“We know our guests appreciate our exacting standards and warm welcome, but we never rest on our laurels. We are always innovating and adapting to offer the best experience of Exmoor for our guests. Tourism and hospitality are vital to our local economy, and we are delighted to play our part in contributing to it.”
