New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Somerset’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.
Restaurants, cafes and canteens
The following ratings have been given to two restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: The Portuguese Grill at 5-7 East Quay, Bridgwater; rated on December 19

Pubs, bars and nightclubs
And two ratings have been handed to pubs, bars or nightclubs:
• Rated 5: Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa at Axbridge Road, Cheddar; rated on December 16
• Rated 5: Alex's Tapas & Artichoke Gastro Pub @ The Great Escape at 6 Clare Street, Bridgwater; rated on December 6
