New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Somerset West and Taunton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to four restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: The Lemon Tree at Meare Green Court, Meare Green Stoke St Gregory, Taunton; rated on December 12

• Rated 5: The Little Wine Shop & Social at 2 Riverside Place, St James Street, Taunton, Somerset; rated on December 9

• Rated 5: Costa Coffee Southbound M5 Drive Thru at Taunton Deane Service Area, Taunton Deane Motorway Service, M5; rated on December 6

• Rated 5: Silvan's Restaurant at 39-40 High Street, Taunton, Somerset; rated on November 16

Pubs, bars and nightclubs

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

• Rated 5: Taunton Masonic Hall at Masonic Hall, The Crescent, Taunton, Somerset; rated on November 30
