Snowdrops are said to be first sign of Spring. The flowers are blooming into carpets in many areas across Wellington and West Somerset, just in time for half-term.
Here's some of the best places to spot the flowers:
Fyne Court, Broomfield
Snowdrops are said to carpet the woodland floor of the land adjoining the historic court on the Quantock hills. There are also said to be bluebells blooming in the woods at Spring time.
More information can be found on the National Trust website.
Dunster Castle
The signs of spring are shooting up around Dunster Castle this half-term. The white flowers can be seen throughout the vast gardens, which also play host to a number of Mediterranean plants.
More information on the Dunster Castle gardens can be found here.
Snowdrop Valley, Exmoor
Wheddon Cross' Snowdrop Valley will be a prime destination for Snowdrop watchers. The privately owned land is open to the public until February 26. The village is said to be welcoming visitors to see the Snowdrops, with ample parking, maps and refreshments on hand.
