AN inquest has been held into the death of a West Somerset woman almost five years after she died.
Suzi Moore, 41, was found dead at her home, Worthy Manor, Porlock Weir, one morning in January, 2018.
The inquest, conducted by acting senior Somerset coroner Samantha Marsh, heard author Mrs Moore had been discovered hanging from gym equipment in her home.
She had died some time between the previous day and that morning.
Mrs Marsh said despite not having a diagnosis at the time of her death Mrs Moore’s mental health was fragile.
She said on the balance of probabilities, the conduct of others had increased her stress and anxiety, causing a decline in her mental health which had more than minimally contributed to her death.
Mrs Marsh said Mrs Moore’s intention to take her life was clear and she recorded a finding of suicide.
The coroner’s office explained afterwards that the delay in completing the inquest proceedings had been due to the complex nature of the inquiries and the impact of the Covid pandemic, as well as the retirement of coroner Tony Williams.
Mrs Marsh was appointed in April of this year and had been working her way through complex and historic cases.
