After a long interlude, Stogumber Community Cinema reopens on Friday (November 12) with a screening of Little Women.
Set in the years after the American Civil War, the film is described as a timeless adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel about sisters Jo, Amy, Meg and Beth which doesn’t tamper with its source material too much.
A glittering array of stars are featured, including Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh and Meryl Streep.
Doors and the bar/café open at Stogumber Village Hall at 7pm and the film (Cert U) starts at 7.30pm.
Covid-secure measures will be in place, including a reduced capacity. It is therefore recommended to buy or reserve tickets – £6 for adults, £3 accompanied children under 16 – in advance from [email protected] or 01984 656526.
