AN event first staged last year to celebrate the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway’s 125th anniversary had such a tremendous response from visitors and traders that it is being repeated.
And the Lyn Valley Classic is being taken up a gear with a mini music festival throughout the twin villages.
The event, which also marked 25 years of Lyn Financial Services, takes place in Lynton and Lynmouth over the weekend of June 11 and 12.
Ashley Clarke, from the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, said: “We are gearing up for a two-day extravaganza of classic cars, sports cars and mini music festival.”
The show is being put on to promote Lynton and Lynmouth and its businesses – no trade stands that would compete with local businesses are being permitted. Many local businesses will be offering discounts to show their support.
And all the proceeds of the two events will be divided between four charities – Lyn Lions, who are helping with the event, Devon Air Ambulance, Tarka Radio and North Devon Hospice.
