WORSHIPFUL Brother Philip Taylor of Wellington School Somerset Masonic Lodge has donated funds for the purchase of silent disco equipment to Reminiscence Learning, for their clients with memory problems and dementia.
Philip said: “It is our privilege to be able to help a local charity in Wellington. Modern Masonic charitable practice not only involves giving to members of our own organisation but allows for donations to be made to the wider community.”
That includes internationally, and the Masonic Charitable Foundation gave a £50k donation in March to the British Red Cross, that went to aid Ukrainian refugees.
Philip said he hoped that the silent disco equipment, handed over to Reminiscence Learning’s Shane Mace, would provide their clients with many opportunities to revisit moments from their past.
