The Museum of Somerset has celebrated its most visitors in a single summer since opening.
Almost 30,000 people made the trip to the museum, with Axel Scheffler's 'A Life in Illustration' exhibition proving a popular draw for families.
Sean Pringle Kosikowsky, the museum's manager, said: "We’ve had an outstanding summer and want to thank each and every person who visited the museum.
"Every donation made, trail and craft activity enjoyed, and treat bought in the café and shop helps to raise essential funds so that we can continue to keep exhibitions like these accessible for everyone.
"We take pride in offering family experiences that are fun, inclusive and great value for money and we were delighted to welcome people back again and again."
It comes after the museum received one of the county's 'most historical finds.'
A 1,000-year-old medieval brooch is set to go on display at the museum, after being discovered in farmland in 2020.
After extensive restoration works, the brooch is now ready to go on show at the museum from October 20.
