MINEHEAD has welcomed its first Ukrainian grocery store and cafe to the town - providing a vital link to home for from the Eastern European country.

Chumatsky Way, which recently opened on Friday Street, offers a unique range of products including those from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Romania.

Owners Olha Koriahina, Andrii Terzian and Ruben Volokitin opened the shop in October to provide both a supermarket and a cultural hub to the Minehead community, offering customers the chance to discover Ukrainian traditions, share recipes and learn more about the country's heritage.

Chumatsky Way specialises in products from Ukraine, including poppy seed buns, bread and traditional drinks such as Kvass, as well as special items such as cookbooks and souvenirs for holidays and celebrations.

The shop and cafe is located on 20 Friday Street, Minehead, and is open from 9am from Monday to Saturday and 10am on a Sunday.
