EXMOOR police community support officer Bryan Stevens (pictured) has retired after almost 19 years on the beat.
PCSO Stevens was based in Dulverton Police Station for most of his service in the West Somerset neighbourhood policing team.
Commenting in Facebook posts about PCSO Stevens, dozens of residents across the area paid tributes to him and shared memories of his service to the local community.
Bruce and Jenny Lang said: “Thanks for all you have done in supporting your community.”
Tamara Cody Boutcher wrote: “Bryan, nothing will be the same, you are irreplaceable. Enjoy your well earned retirement.”
“Thanks so much for all your time, advice, and ongoing support back in the youth club days,” said Jude Atkins. “It was much appreciated.”
Sue Freestone said: “You were a great local policeman, Bryan. Always approachable and a comforting presence. We shall miss that.”
Community Council for Somerset’s Jane Lillis said: “Many thanks for all the support you have given to the village agents in the past. We will miss you.”
