POLICE are trying to trace a man with grey hair worn in a ponytail following a reported assault in Watchet.

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information after a woman in her 60s was assaulted in Anchor Street at around 10pm on Saturday, January 11.

A police statement read: “A member of the public challenged the man. The suspect then threatened to punch the individual, but instead left the scene.

“The offender is described as white, 6ft tall, between 55-65 years old, of medium build, with grey hair in a ponytail, a goatee beard and glasses. He was wearing a wide brim hat, a leather jacket and jeans.

“He was walking with a black Labrador dog.”
