Following the death the Queen, the Fixy team will not be attending the 10 Parishes Street Market and Carnival in Wiveliscombe tomorrow, Sunday (10 Sept).

Somerset Waste Partnership apologised for any inconvenience and said they look forward to attending an event in the town “at the next possible opportunity”.

Fixy is travelling the county promoting repair and reuse and supporting Somerset’s network of repair cafes and related groups – like the Wivey Repair Café.

The Wivey café meets in the Community Centre in West Street, usually every third Saturday of the month, between 10am and 12noon.

Its next scheduled meeting is Saturday 24 September and volunteers will be on hand to fixy faulty electricals, mechanical items and anything the public brings in – whatever it is, they will do their best to get it working again.
