Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm July 29 to 6am July 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 exit and entry slips, lane closures forr lighting works.

M5, from 8pm August 5 to 6am August 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26, lane closures for surveys.

M5, from 8pm August 7 to 6am August 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26, lane closures for surveys.

M5, from 8pm August 9 to 6am August 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 exit and entry slip closed for surveys, diversion for exit slip via, junction 25 and return, diversion for entry slip via, junction 27 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
