Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A30, from 8pm October 27 2022 to 5am April 4 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.
And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M5, from 8pm November 7 to 6am November 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 - 26 lane closures for resurfacing.
• M5, from 8pm November 7 to 6am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to 25 lane closure for surveys.
• M5, from 9pm November 7 to 6am November 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 exit slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via, junction 24 and return.
• M5, from 9pm November 10 to 6am November 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 carriageway closure between exit and entry slip roads for resurfacing, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
• M5, from 9pm November 14 to 6am November 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 entry slip road closure for resurfacing, diversion via M5 southbound to junction 26.
• M5, from 8pm November 19 to 6am November 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to 25 carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via A38.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
