Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm September 30 to 5am October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to junction 26, lane closure for drainage.

M5, from 8pm October 1 to 6am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25, lane closures for drainage.

M5, from 8pm October 2 to 5am October 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 to junction 26. Lane closure for barrier works .

M5, from 8pm October 7 to 6am October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26, lane closures for surveys.

M5, from 9pm October 11 to 6am October 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 exit and entry slip roads closed for surveys, diversion for exit slip via, junction 25 and return, diversion for entry slip via, junction 27 and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
