Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm September 30 to 5am October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to junction 26, lane closure for drainage.

M5, from 8pm October 7 to 6am October 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 26, lane closures for surveys.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
