Drivers in and around Somerset West and Taunton will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm January 2 to 5am December 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And one more closure will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm July 15 to 6am July 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 27 to junction 26 carriageway closure for structure inspections, diversion via A38 and Chelston Link.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
