A group designed to boost investment in Somerset is looking for ambassadors to represent the county.
Invest Somerset helps to facilitate more jobs and investment in the area by working with key people and organisations who can support important projects.
Cllr Ros Wyke, Somerset Council’s Lead Member for Economic Development, Planning and Assets said: "The perception of Somerset is rapidly changing. It is already renowned for being one of England’s most beautiful counties, but it also offers the optimum balance of opportunity, world class environment and exceptional lifestyle. We want Ambassadors to share their passion, experience and enthusiasm for Somerset.
"Somerset is already home to world leading businesses. As a council we are bringing innovation and investment into the county so that we can fulfil our priority of creating a flourishing and resilient Somerset.
Jo Reynolds, owner of Justelle Marketing and President of Yeovil and District Chamber CIC, explains why becoming an Ambassador was an easy decision: "So many people complain about things but do nothing to improve them. I felt that this was a perfect opportunity for me to be able to shout about all the amazing things our county has to offer and to help raise awareness of all the incredible projects going on in the area.
"Being an Ambassador for Somerset will allow me to spread the amazing work being done in the east of the county across the whole of Somerset. I am proud of our county and wanted to help encourage others to become Ambassadors and shout about this wonderful place to live, learn and do business.'
