Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from midnight, January 2 to 5am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 7pm March 31 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 exit slip, lane closure for Somerset Council works.

M5, from 9pm March 31 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 to junction 24 - hard shoulder closure for emergency barrier repairs.

A30, from 8pm April 1 2025 to 4am April 1 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
