Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from midnight, January 2 to 5am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm February 24 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 25 to 26 lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm February 24 to 6am February 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 24 to junction 25, lane closure for barrier works.

M5, from 8pm February 27 to 6am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 24 to 25, lane closure for barrier repairs.

M5, from 8pm March 4 to 6am March 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to 25, lane closures for patching.

M5, from 8pm March 6 to 6am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27, lane closures for patching.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
