Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm July 11 to 4am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 - mobile lane closure for drainage works.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 9pm September 5 to 6am September 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 to 26 lane closures for electrical works.

M5, from 9pm September 12 to 5am September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 25 lane closures for barrier works.

M5, from 8pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 27 to 25 lane closure for structure maintenance.

M5, from 9pm September 13 to 5am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 25 to junction 24 - Lane closure for carriageway Reconstruction/Renewals.

M5, from 8pm September 14 to 5am September 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26 to junction 25 carriageway closure for Resurfacing, diversion A38, A358 Black Triangle.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
