Somerset West and Taunton's motorists will have three road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A30, from 8pm April 1 2025 to 4am April 1 2026, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 31 mobile lane closures for drainage works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 9pm April 25 to 6am April 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 26 to 27 carriageway closure for resurfacing works. Diversion via the A38.

M5, from 8pm April 29 to 6am May 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 26, lane closure for signs maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
