The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning across Wellington and West Somerset.
Large parts of the South West are caught up in the warning area, which is set to take effect from midday on Tuesday, June 20, and last until 8pm.
The weather service advised people to expect heavy showers and thunderstorms which could cause spray on roads, floods, power cuts, and disruption to train and bus travel.
It is forecast that as much as 50 millimetres of rain could fall within 3 hours, with hail and lightning said to be likely.
