In order to preserve the future of our high street presence as the price of energy surges to unprecedented levels, The West Somerset Free Press has reluctantly taken the decision to temporarily close the Tindle office, 5 Long Street, Williton from October 7 for a brief period. The Wellington Weekly News office will remain open as usual.

We remain committed to local advertisers and to providing trusted local news throughout our communities, with sales teams and reporters still operating in those local communities. We remain contactable by phone or email for all advertising and editorial enquiries. Plans also continue for our new office in Launceston which will open shortly after a complete renovation.

The decision to close for a temporary period has not been taken lightly but by acting now, like many other businesses, we are managing costs with a view on the long term.
