A number of unexplained phenomena have been spotted in the skies above West Somerset, with some residents suggesting they may be extra-terrestrial in origin.
In a Facebook group for Watchet residents, one local man reported 'a circular object with flashing lights around 11pm on Monday evening.'
He joked: "Maybe it could have been the mothership looking for me to take me back to my home planet!"
Other members of the group theorised the colourful spectacle could have been a drone, or the laser lights of Butlins.
One user responded to the post with a video, appearing to show a flickering blue ball of light darting across the night sky.
In Minehead, resident Caroline Phillips photographed a fiery ball of light low in the western sky.

Caroline said: "I zoomed in on the very bright light in the low western sky this evening with this result. Any ideas what it might be? It was seen to the right of a bright star."
Though some residents suggested it could be a Chinese spy balloon, Caroline believes it was most likely the planet Venus.
The fresh wave of UFO reports comes after a train of Starlink satellites were mistaken for alien craft by some West Somerset residents.
Elon Musk's Starlink company sends a line, or train, of satellites into orbit, to provide high speed broadband around the globe.
Minehead resident Marist Durham captured a video of the satellites travelling into orbit.
In a Facebook group for Minehead residents, one member wrote "they're definitely up there, but they ain't ever visiting. The state of this world is laughable."

Another suggested the lights were "Harry Kane's penalty coming in to land." Others correctly identified the aerial phenomena as a train of Starlink satellites.
