A NEW Wiveliscombe-based environmental collective has officially launched with the release of their new website - run entirely on renewable energy.
Wild Wivey is a new umbrella group whose aim is to connect the various wildlife, nature conservation and sustainability projects in Wiveliscombe and the surrounding area.
Beginning as a small group of women doing refurbishments locally, the group has now grown to a collective organised by Lena Holland and Julie Mitchell, acting as a directory for all things climate-oriented.
Visitors of the new “green” website can find details of upcoming environmental events and discover local groups, including Transition Town Wellington and Guerilla Gardeners.
The website also offers information on a variety of Wiveliscombe conservation and sustainability projects such as ‘Kittisford Acre’ and ‘The Swift Project’.
Founder Lena Holland describes the site as “gently educational” with the intention of “bringing together likeminded people.”
Built by Lena’s son Jay Burt, the new website can be found at wildwivey.org
