Cothelstone point to point dodged a mid-week snow scare to put on a day of 'excellent' racing.

Saturday's hunt race saw 6ft 4" jockey Lawrence Jordan riding Miss Benjo into an early lead, before being headed two fences rom home by Molly Landau on Ninth Wave - only to refind poll position and win by three-quarters of a length.

Miss Benjo was trained by Will Biddick, who bought the horse for his yard's young jockeys to gain experience on.

The extended open race ran over 3 and a hall miles and saw David Brace's Looksnowtlikebrian score a forth win under jockey Oisin Radford. The horse commanded an early lead and finished 17 lengths ahead of closes rivals Trio For Rio and Broadclyst.

Dr Rhythm put in a good performance for owner Tina Dunsford and trainer Keith Cummings, winning for an 8th time when he took the conditions race.

Winner of the Mares Maiden Hazel's Delight was said to be a 'classy 4 year old debutant', cruising home under jockey Alice Stevens. After her win Alice said: "she’s a very nice straightforward filly who just does everything right.”
