MINEHEAD will be looking for their first victory of the season in the Somerset Division of the West of England Premier Cricket League when they play at home to North Petherton on Saturday (12.00).
Minehead lost at Bridgwater last weekend despite scoring more than 200 runs - the home side winning by seven wickets after scoring 141-3 when chasing a revised target because of rain.
It has been a poor start to the season for the promoted seasiders who slumped to a ten-wicket defeat at Yeovil on the opening day before losing by 85 runs against Wembdon at home the following weekend.
It means they go into Saturday's game against Petherton second from bottom with their rivals one place above them, with one success in three games.
Minehead 2nd XI, whose home game against Spaxton last Saturday ended in a rain-affected draw, play away to Cheddar on Saturday. It should be a close game with only four points separating the teams.
Minehead 3rd XI, one-wicket winners over Cannington last time out, play Cutcombe at home in Division Three of the West Somerset League.
Ashbrittle, who top the first division in the West Somerset League, will be chasing their fourth successive victory when they play away to Over Stowey.
