ALL THREE of Minehead Cricket Club junior sides have been in action over the past week and have enjoyed mixed results.
The Under 11s played against Taunton Vulcans on Sunday and once again showed an improvement overall with a better bowling and fielding performance which restricted Taunton to 260 for seven with two wickets each for Holly and Beau, and a wicket apiece for Heath, Callum and Chester. In reply Minehead made 234 for six with Callum 12 and Beau 11 being the top scorers.
The Under 13s played a re-arranged fixture on Tuesday against Taunton Deane Falcons and had a good win by 20 runs. Batting first Minehead made 111 for nine with both Fin and Ben having to retire after scoring 30, while for the Falcons there were two wickets each for Herbie, Alex and Oscar.
Alfie was the main scorer for the Deane with 23 while there were two wickets for Billy and one each for Josh, Ben, Nik, George C and Max.
On Sunday the Under 15s played against Wembdon Wolves who batted first and lost wickets regularly as Minehead turned in a good performance in the field to restrict them to 48 all out. In reply Minehead scored 51 for one.
