EXFORD made the trip to Ilfracombe where they gained a fine 69-run victory.

After being asked to bat first Exford lost Ian Whybrow for two before opener Sam Price was joined by Oli Ahern who together added 73 for the second wicket before the latter was out 32.

Two further wickets tumbled before Renjeesh Krishnan joined Price and shared a fifth wicket partnership of 92 before he was dismissed for 52, scoring five fours and four sixes.

Price stayed to see up the 200 but shortly afterwards was bowled by Tom Ward for 105 which came from 90 balls with 14 fours and four sixes. Exford were all out for 231 in 35.2 overs.

When Ilfracombe replied the openers added 20 together before Paul Jones accounted for both of them.

Two further wickets fell before Jay Thakur and Simon Hope added 60 for the sixth wicket when Hope was out for 16.

Thakur stayed at the wicket until he was last wicket to fall as Ilfracombe were all out for 162, of which the batter scored 77 at all but a run a ball with 14 boundaries.

Pick of the Exford bowlers was Jones who ended with four wickets for 34 while William Lock claimed three for 31.
