AUSSIE paceman Riley Meredith is set to return to Somerset for the 2025 Vitality Blast.

The 28-year-old who impressed during his all too short spell with the club this summer was a key element of Somerset’s run to Finals Day at Edgbaston.

In addition to taking 14 wickets at an average of 22.78 with a best of four for 12 in the T20 Riley also played in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, claiming six wickets at an average of 21.33 with a best of four for 27.

His impressive performances for Somerset resulted in a recall to the Australian national side.

There is also provision within the agreement for Riley to be considered for selection for County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup fixtures during his stay at the Cooper Associates County Ground, dependent on the 2025 domestic structure.

Riley said: “I really enjoyed my time with Somerset this year and I’m looking ford to coming back to England next summer.

“We played some good cricket, and it was nice to be able to play a part in some good wins.”

The Aussie quick added: “Hopefully, we can go on to lift some silverware in 2025.”
