DULVERTON Town gained a 1-0 home victory over Bridgwater & Albion in Division Two of the Taunton Saturday Football League.
Fielding a few changes for their third game, Dulverton dominated possession throughout the first half and kept the ball well across the back line of Burke, Jones, Kelly and skipper Dave Kelland.
The midfield three of Carey, Towes and McDonald were making themselves available, and trying to create chances for the front three. Albion started to get into the game and late on got a few half chances to try and trouble the Dulverton back line who stayed strong throughout.
Half way through the first half an audacious pass from Angus McDonald towards Dan Eales was intercepted but Eales was quick to pounce on a mistake from the fullback and scored from outside the box with a lovely chip.
This was the goal Dulverton needed as they went into the break leading 1-0. The second half started as the same way as the first, with Dulverton dominating possession but unable to create any clear chances.
The introduction of their subs freshened Town up with new energy and allowed them to retain control to cruise to an important victory.
On Saturday Town travel to top of the table Racehorse Rovers.
