SOMERSET County Football League club Minehead have been forced to make changes to their series of pre-season friendlies.
Minehead boss Craig Carr has arranged eight warm-up matches, starting with a game at Bishops Lydeard on Thursday, July 4.
"We have players ranging in age from 16 to about 35 and I want to make sure they get plenty of game-time," said Carr. "I want every player to feel they have had a chance to show what they can do."
Other matches arranged are: Sat, July 6 home v Bedminster (3p.m); Wed, July 10, home v Bishops Lydeard XI (7p.m.); Friday, July 12 home v North Molton (7.30p.m.); Wed, July 17 home v Wellington (7.45p.m.); Sat, July 20 away v Uphill Castle; Wed, July 24 home v Staplegrove (7.45p.m.); Sat, July 27 home v Elmore (3.30p.m.).
Meanwhile, Minehead will be holding their first pre-season training on Saturday, June 29 (2p.m.). It is an open session with everyone invited.
Minehead finished tenth in the first division of the county league last season with Carr being in charge for the last ten matches. Their record was played 28, won nine, drawn 8, lost 11
