MINEHEAD'S programme of pre-season friendlies has been reduced to seven following the cancellation of their home match against Bedminster which was due to be played on Saturday, July 6.
Minehead boss Craig Carr has arranged seven warm-up matches, starting with a game at Bishops Lydeard on Thursday, July 4.
Other matches arranged are: Wed, July 10, home v Bishops Lydeard XI (7p.m.); Friday, July 12 home v North Molton (7.30p.m.); Wed, July 17 home v Wellington (7.45p.m.); Sat, July 20 away v Uphill Castle; Wed, July 24 home v Staplegrove (7.45p.m.); Sat, July 27 home v Elmore (3.30p.m.).
"I shall be giving as many players as possible a chance to show what they can do in these warm-up games," he said "It's important they get as much game-time as possible."
Meanwhile, Minehead's players will be reporting back for first pre-season training on Saturday, June 29 (2p.m.). It is an open session with everyone invited.
"I'm expecting some new faces at this session plus quite a number of last season's squad," said Carr who was appointed manager on a permanent basis earlier this summer.
"I'm looking forward very much to the new season.”
