MINEHEAD Barbarians' rugby players Jacob Gower and Dean Beaver have flown out to play for Te Anau Rugby Club in South Island, New Zealand.

The pair have been regular members of the Babas' first team this season and have played their part in a successful season in which they became the only team to beat champions Taunton in Somerset Two South.

With a mid-table position assured, the pair travelled before Minehead’s 36-15 defeat by Wells in a league game on Saturday..
