MINEHEAD Hockey Club Ladies hosted a club game for past and present players with the Whites taking on the Pinks in a thoroughly enjoyable match last Saturday..

The game was well attended with 19 Ladies taking part in a friendly and light hearted encounter. After a close fought first twenty minutes, it was 0-0 at ⅓ time.

The White team came out re-energised after the break and broke the dead-lock with Izzy Burns tapping in a cross from Amy Tisshaw at the back post.

In the final third, the Pinks fought valiantly but it was a ball under the keeper from Izzy Hoar that sealed the 2-0 win for the Whites.

The match was played in great spirits with lots of laughter and was followed by delicious teas provided by the committee.

The Ladies are now looking forward to a couple of weeks off before training restarts at the beginning of the New Year - on 7th January.

All new players are welcome to join Minehead Ladies who are looking very much forward to the second part of the season. It is a friendly club and players can enjoy competitive hockey at a good standard.
