MINEHEAD Barbarians will be without wingers Sam Chinn and Aston Handley for their rugby match away to Rebels Rugby in Counties Two Somerset on Saturday, December 7.
Both are unavailable as the Babas look to bounce back after their 36-14 home defeat by leaders Midsomer Norton last weekend.
Despite losing, Minehead’s head coach Mick Orton said: “I thought we were brilliant. Midsomer Norton are a very good side indeed and we were involved in a very good game. It is one of the best matches we have played in. It was a pleasure to be part of it.”
Minehead go into Saturday’s game still second in the table, two points ahead of third-placed Avon who have a crucial game in hand.
Despite being without Chinn and Handley, Orton is hoping most of the team which played against Midsomer Norton will be available. Rebels Rugby are lying sixth in the table, having won six of their ten matches. They beat bottom side Wells 31-17 away last weekend.
Minehead Barbarians 2nd XV will be at home on Saturday - to Morganians in Counties Four Somerset South (2.30p.m.). Minehead are fourth in the table, while Morganisms are fifth, nine points adrift of their rivals.
