MINEHEAD Barbarians will be looking to avenge a defeat against Chew Valley in Counties Two Somerset when the sides meet again in the return on Saturday (Mar 23, 2.30).
The Babas went down 31-17 away to the Valley in early December when their opponents were top of the table, having lost only one of 11 games.
Since then Valley have lost three more matches but are still third in the table.
"Like all games, it is going to be a difficult match," said Minehead's head coach Mick Orton this week. "We have a number of injuries - including the captain and vice-captain - while there are others who are unavailable. This is not something new - it is what it is."
Former skipper Ben Willes will again captain the Minehead side. "We will fielding the strongest team we can, as we do every week," added Orton.
Elsewhere, leaders Taunton will be looking to extend their 14-point lead when they play away to Imperial.
Minehead 2nd XV are also in action on Saturday when they play away to top of the table Wyvern in Counties Four Somerset South. Wyvern have a 100 per cent record this season.
Wiveliscombe will be chasing a rare double in Counties One Western West on Saturday when they play away to basement boys Falmouth who lost 22-17 at The Rec in early December. Wiveliscombe are one of four teams fighting relegation, the others being Bideford, Bude and, of course, Falmouth.
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV play Bridgwater & Albion in Counties Three Somerset South - also on Saturday.
