ANOTHER all-round team performance from Bell All Stars, led by Adam Taplin hitting 116, gave them their 13th win of the season as they overcame a spirited Q C Guys by 31 pins in the Premier Division of the Watchet Skittles League. Mike Stout also scored 116 for the Guys .
Shane Coxhead scored a top of the alley 123 for second placed Allsorts in the 34 pin away win over Three Ferrets whose Simon Norman hit 112. A hand of 109 from Jacks’ Colin Milton brought them a useful 11-pin away victory against Castaways, Mike Lane hitting 101.
Liam Woolgrove scored 116 as Phoenix Knights picked up a valuable away win in their fight to avoid the drop, defeating Bottoms Up by just six pins, Brandon Walsh felling 116. In the match at the bottom of the table 105 from Rebels Mark Whitemore helped them to a 23-pin home success over White Horse Stallions whose Eli Hayes topped the alley with 112.
Despite slipping to a 23 pin away defeat to Has Been who had Steve Allen and John Wilkinson hitting 100 Combwich Otters, who had Alan Higgins scoring 95, remain Division A leaders and a 100 from Outsiders Terry Hayes gave them a 42 pin home win in their final match to be played at the Globe Inn, defeating Railway Steamers had Dan Gilpin knocking 100.
Wyndham Warriors kept up the pressure at the top of Division B as a score of 132 from Chris Williams saw them to a 19 pin away win over Footy Fockers whose Gavin Badger hit 107 and Wyndham Pinheads got back to winning ways as Simon Thomson hit 95 in their 29 away win over Haddon Hillbillies.
A top of the alley 105 from Mike Sheehan saw Badgers to a 64 pin away win over Legion Specials
