BELL All Stars continue to lead the rest of the Premier League in the Watchet and District Skittles League after Barrie Jones, with 108, helped secure their 36 pin away win against Jack, for whom Steve Bosley topped the alley with 120.
Second placed Allsorts fell 5 pins short of the magic team score of 700 in their away match against stablemates Bottoms Up, securing a 60 pins victory with Brian Bishop top of the alley with 130 for the victors, closely followed by skipper Martin Larcombe 127 for the hosts.
White Horse Stallions claimed three valuable away points as they defeated high flying Three Ferrets by 7 pins. Top score for both sides with 108 were Dan Godfrey and Chris Adams.
Q C Guys’ 22 year old Archie Walsh now holds the highest away score after a phenomenal 145 in their 68 pin defeat of Phoenix Knights whose Connor Jeromson hit a noteworthy 120. Shaun Walsh with 101 led Castaways to a 30 pin home success over Rebels whose James Parrish topped the alley with 125.
With Combwich Otters having their bye week, Barn Owls and Railway Steamers leap frogged them at the top of Division A, both recording home wins. Shane Yaw with 112 eased Steamers to a 15 pin victory over a deflated Williton Club, Dan Bulpin and Alan Bland both hitting 105 while Dungbeetles remain at the foot of the table after losing at home to Has Beens by 9 pins whose Mark Clausen scored 108 alongside Steve Sandford for the hosts.
In the battle between the top two sides in Division B, 116 from Wyndham Pinheads Sam Towells led them to a 34 pin win over Wyndham Warriors whose Chris Williams hit 97. They now hold a one point lead over the Warriors.
