BARRIE Jones, who plays for Watchet Skittles League premier champions Bell All Stars, finished his outstanding season by hitting 110 in their four-pin defeat of Three Ferrets whose Chris Adams knocked 118. Jones also took the highest away score honour with 150, writes Alan Bulpin.
There were wins for Jack and Castaways who rounded off a decent season finishing mid-table.
The drama rests at the foot of the table where Roger Howe scored 119 for Hungerford Harriers who gained a 27-pin win against Bottoms Up which puts them onto 14 points, while 129 from Phoenix Knights' Mati Snell led them to a 64-pin win over stablemates QC Guys moving them on to 12 points.
Knights will complete the premier season next week when they play Combwich Otters away knowing a win will see them escape relegation. However, a victory for Otters will see a play-off with Harriers to see who stays in the premier.
The Division A title race will be decided next week as Rebels and White Horse Stallions both won their respective games against Williton Club and Dark Horses to be level on 43 points. Rebels' Nev Weir (108) and Jos Bennett (110) led their sides to comfortable wins to set up exciting final night where if Rebels win their away match at the Club, they will be champions while Stallions' final match is at home.
Rams' Leigh Davis hit 94 as they recorded a dramatic one-pin win over Outsiders to throw the relegation battle open.
Dark Horses' fate is out of their hands and they must win their away match against title challengers White Horse Stallions to stand a chance of avoiding the drop. Railway Steamers finished their home matches with a 16-pin victory over Has Beens, Seb Tuck hitting 99 for Steamers and Tom Wright 97 for the visitors, both having mid table positions.
Division B champions Barn Owls' match with Footy Fockers had to be postponed while runners-up Dungbeetles had Sean Kendall scoring 114 in a 45-pin success over Legion Specials whose Simon Kidner hit 103.
Mark Mossman with 97 led Dizzy's Boys to a 17-pin win against Wyndham Pinheads who had Robin Whitehead hitting 90 and 113 from Badgers' Garry Keogh helped them to a 57-pin win over Quantock Stags whose Roger Polsom scored 92.
